How to Create a Lead
Leads help you track potential clients before they become active projects. Here's how to create one:
Step 1: Navigate to Leads
Click on "Leads" in the top navigation bar, then click "Create Lead", or visit /leads/create.
Step 2: Enter Lead Information
Fill in the following details:
- Name: Lead's full name (required)
- Company: Company name (optional)
- Email: Contact email (required)
- Phone: Contact phone (optional)
- Status: Current status of the lead (e.g., "New", "Contacted", "Qualified")
- Source: Where the lead came from (optional)
- Notes: Additional information about the lead (optional)
Step 3: Save the Lead
Click "Create Lead" to save. The lead will appear in your leads list.
💡 Tip:
Once a lead becomes a client, you can convert them to a project. This creates a client record and an associated project automatically.
