How to Manage Invoices

Managing invoices helps you track billing and payments. Here's what you can do:

Viewing Invoices

Go to "Invoices" to see all your invoices. You can filter by status (Draft, Sent, Paid, etc.).

Editing an Invoice

To edit an invoice:

  1. Click on the invoice number or client name
  2. Click the "Edit" button
  3. Make your changes
  4. Click "Update Invoice" to save

Updating Invoice Status

You can manually update invoice status:

  • Draft: Not yet sent
  • Sent: Sent to client
  • Viewed: Client has viewed it
  • Paid: Payment received
  • Overdue: Past due date
  • Void: Cancelled invoice
  • Client Marked Paid: Client marked as paid through portal

On the invoice detail page, use the status dropdown and click "Update Status".

Generating PDF

To download a PDF version of an invoice:

  1. Open the invoice detail page
  2. Click "Download PDF"
  3. The PDF will be generated and downloaded

Sending Invoice to Client

To send an invoice via the Client Portal:

  1. Open the invoice detail page
  2. Click "Send Client Portal Link"
  3. An email with the portal link will be sent to the client
💡 Tip:

Keep invoice statuses up to date to get accurate financial reports and track which invoices need follow-up.
