How to Send an Invoice

Sending invoices to clients is easy through the Client Portal. Here's how:

Step 1: Open the Invoice

Go to "Invoices" and click on the invoice you want to send.

Step 2: Send via Client Portal

On the invoice detail page, click "Send Client Portal Link". This will:

  • Generate a secure portal link for the invoice
  • Send an email to the client with the portal link
  • Update the invoice status to "Sent"

Alternative: Send Portal Link from Client Page

You can also send portal access from the client's detail page, which gives them access to all their invoices and proposals.

What Clients Can Do

When clients access the invoice through the portal, they can:

  • View the complete invoice with all line items
  • See totals, taxes, discounts, and amounts paid
  • Download a PDF version
  • Mark the invoice as paid
  • View your business contact information

You can also download a PDF version of the invoice to send via email or print. Click "Download PDF" on the invoice detail page.

The Client Portal provides a professional, secure way to share invoices. Clients don't need to create an account - they just click the link in their email.
