How to Send a Proposal

Once you've created a proposal, you can send it to your client through the Client Portal. Here's how:

Step 1: Open the Proposal

Go to "Proposals" and click on the proposal you want to send.

Step 2: Send the Proposal

On the proposal detail page, click the "Send Proposal" button. This will:

  • Generate a secure portal link for the proposal
  • Send an email to the client with the portal link
  • Update the proposal status to "Sent"

What Clients See

When clients access the proposal through the portal, they can:

  • View the complete proposal with all line items
  • See totals, taxes, and discounts
  • Download a PDF version
  • View your business information

Proposal Status

Proposals can have different statuses:

  • Draft: Not yet sent
  • Sent: Sent to the client
  • Viewed: Client has viewed it
  • Accepted: Client has accepted
  • Rejected: Client has declined
💡 Tip:

After a proposal is accepted, you can easily convert it to an invoice with one click, preserving all the line items and details.
